The Prelude Agency represents literary and visual artists by identifying the right audiences to embrace their work and make it part of the current cultural conversation. We negotiate lucrative contracts for individual artists in all genres. Our clients range from debut authors and unsung visual artists—we love discovering new talent in any medium—to established artists, at any age and any stage of their careers. We are discerning in our efforts to represent underrepresented creatives whose art deserves recognition. From reading, selecting, and editing manuscripts to finding publishers, and reviewing portfolios to touring art studios and booking exhibitions, we nurture the work (and the artist) and market heavily to ensure its monetization. After all, we’re artists ourselves, as well as businesspeople. And we all need to eat.
